Only departmental orders will be accepted via Web Cat.
Following is list of requirements to use the Stores' Web Cat OnLine Ordering System.
Browser Compatibility:
- Netscape Navigator 9.0.0.6, or later.
**We recommend Netscape 7 for the best viewing experience.
- Microsoft Explorer, version 7, or later.
**We recommend IE 6 for the best viewing experience.
Access Requirements:
- A University NET ID is required. Faculty, staff, and students are automatically assigned a NetID which is printed on the face of their I-Cards.
- A kerberos password must be assigned to your net id. Your password must include access rights to the UIUC WWW Identification Service (Bluestem). If you don't have this access, you may have it added by submitting the Password Change Form to CITES Account Services. See below for information about how to obtain the form.
- UIUC campus two options available:
- Go to the Digital Computer Lab, 1304 W Springfield Ave, Room 1211 to obtain a password.
(You must go in person, and bring your I-Card with you.)
- Faculty and staff may complete the CITES Password Change Form and fax it to the number listed on the form, with a copy of your driver's license and your I-Card. Specify kerberos password desired.

- Contacting the CITES Account Services office at 333-6760 and having a form faxed to you.
- Contacting Stores and Receiving at 244-0139 or by e-mail to cstores@uiuc.edu and requesting one.
- UIC campus : Please go to The ADN Computer Center, Accounts and New User Information Web page or call the ADN Computer Center at 312-413-0003 for information on setting up your account. When typing your NetId to log in to Web Cat, the UIUC WWW Identification Service (Bluestem) requires UIC users to also type @uic.edu (netid@uic.edu).
- A designated approver, you or someone from your department, must have a completed a Web Cat Signature Authorization Request for
- To send a requisition to someone else in your department for approval, that person must have logged in to Web Cat and completed their user profile, which is used by Web Cat to select the proper authorization record in Web Cat.
You are now ready to process orders through Web Cat.
